How to Use this Site
Welcome to the American Autowire Technical Headquarters!
We are constantly adding content to this site, so check back often for new Tech Tips, Terms, and FAQs. If you don’t see something you are looking for, please submit your inquiry to megan@americanautowire.com.
This site has been divided into several sections to help you find the information that you need
- If you are looking for a definition of a word or abbreviation, click on “Commonly Used Abbreviations” and/or “Technical Terms” in the menu bar at the top of the page. The entries are in alphabetical order.
For a further search on these pages, press Control+F (PC) or Command+F (Mac) on your keyboard. This trick works on any web page.- If you are using Internet Explorer 8, Safari, or Firefox, a bar containing a search field should appear at the top (IE, Safari) or bottom (Firefox) of your browser window. Type in the term or subject that you are looking for and press ENTER. All occurrences of that word will be highlighted on the page. (For Firefox users, be sure that the “Highlight All” button is selected.)
- If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer (7 or earlier), a pop-up “Find” box will appear. Type in the term or subject that you are looking for, choose your options, and click “Find Next”. The first occurrence of your search will be highlighted. Continue to click “Find Next” to scan down the page for each instance of the word you searched.
- Under the “Category” menu on the left, you will find Technical tips, FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions), Connections, and Product Features. These are in a blog format and are added to often. You can scan these lists by clicking on the buttons in the “Category” menu. OR…
- An even easier way to find posts on specific topics is to use the search function on each page. This is located in the top right corner and is marked with a magnifying glass icon. Just type in the topic you are interested in and press ENTER.
